Academic excellence.

Clapton Girls' Academy Sixth Formers achieve highly and go on to a wide range of fantastic futures. Whether university, other further study, apprenticeships, or employment, they choose what is right for them, guided by the academy’s excellent Careers Education department and supported by their tutors and other staff members.

Many of our students gain places at Russell Group universities whilst others go on to some of the UK’s most prestigious institutions as well as into apprenticeships.

We have strong partnerships with Goldsmiths, University of London; the University of East London; SOAS and Queen Mary which have helped prepare our students for life as undergraduates.

Summer 2025

CGA’s class of 2025 have a lot to celebrate after receiving a fantastic set of A-Level and BTEC results. We are incredibly proud of our student destinations this year, over half of our students will be progressing to prestigious Russell Group and other top 40 universities, including world-renowned institutions such as Edinburgh, Central Saint Martins, York, Bristol, Loughborough, Manchester, Oxford, Exeter, King’s College London, LSE, UCL, UAL, and Queen Mary’s. Our students are set to study an impressive range of subjects, with many embarking on STEM pathways such as medicine, chemical engineering, mathematics, physics, midwifery, nursing, radiography, and physiotherapy. Others will be pursuing their passions in art, architecture, media, design, geography, English, politics, and history. Two of our students are going to Oxford to study English Literature and Experimental Psychology.

This year’s BTEC results are some of the highest the academy has ever achieved under the new specifications, a phenomenal accomplishment that reflects the talent, determination, and resilience of our students. Our vocational learners have secured places at some of the UK’s most competitive universities, including Warwick, Manchester, City, and King’s College London, as well as highly sought-after apprenticeships. Notably, one student has won a place on the prestigious and fiercely competitive JP Morgan Degree Apprenticeship in Finance, a testament to their outstanding hard work and ambition. We are also celebrating another exceptional student pursuing their dream of working in the gaming industry, who has secured a place at Escape Studios to complete an integrated master’s in Concept Art and Design, an incredible step towards an exciting creative career.

We couldn’t be prouder of our students and the incredible futures that lie ahead of them.
