Students will have the chance to take part in subject specific clinical skills sessions, allowing them to practically experience what being a doctor involves.
There will also be information provided about how to maximise your chances of getting a place on these competitive degrees, and the chance to speak to current students about what studying Medicine is really like.
The taster course is vastly oversubscribed with limited places and applicants must meet the taster course requirements below to be considered for selection. Places will be allocated on the basis of the requirements met and the 150 words you will be asked to write when applying
- Currently studying Biology and/or Chemistry at A Level (or equivalent)
- have achieved AAABBB/777666 at GCSE (to include English Language, Maths, Biology and Chemistry – or double science)
- Meet one or more widening participation criteria
Open to eligible students who are attending a state school which is located within a London borough. Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application shortly after the deadline once the selection process has taken place.
